Does government escape productivity because they are accountable to no one?

Successful businesses such as GE and IBM and others, periodically have ‘efficiency experts’ come in to assess the workmanship, the productivity rate and efficiency, and other factors which if not monitored, would lead to ruin. When these experts finish their overview and observations, they give management a rundown, suggesting ways to improve productivity, morale, and in general, to make more and more money, and to have a successful company.

These reviews and assessments are worth the money the companies pay them. Now, my question has to do with our government, federal, state and local. If YOU were one of those who observe and check things out, being your own efficiency expert, how would YOU rate our various government levels?

You can give grades like in school, but it would be nice if you were specific in your report !

You pretty well nailed it! There isn’t a government employee who doesn’t know what a hassle it would be in order to terminate them, almost impossible because of laws protecting them with “due process.” I think that most gov. employees earn their pay, but there are all too many who don’t and like they do at the shipyards from time to time, they have to bring a ship in and scrape the barnacles off the bottom because they create too much drag for the ship and makes it far less efficient. …and it all starts with our Congress.
